WPI sophomore Dereck Pacheco (Barnstable, MA) has added D3football.com Team of the Week, as well as ECAC Division III North Defensive Player of the Week honors, to his collection of weekly awards. WPI graduate student football player Jake Brown is one of 197 nominees nationwide for the 2015 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team(R), announced this week by the Allstate Insurance Company and the American Football Coaches Association.

The WPI men's and women's swimming and diving programs were honored by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for academic success while eight individuals have been recognized for their efforts in the pool and the classroom.

The WPI athletic department recently honored all of its 20 varsity teams which encompasses nearly 600 student-athletes at its annual awards banquet. During the festivities, twelve student-athletes were presented with major awards. These accolades highlight some of the best varsity student-athletes at WPI.
