Nikolaki picked up her first win of the year with a score of 260.10 on the 1-meter board and was the runner up on the 3-meter with a score of 252.52 as the Crimson and Gray knocked off the Falcons 199-100 to open the 2015-16 campaign.

Alex Domond of Cambridge, Mass. Selected as WPI Men's Student-Athlete of the Week

Domond scored what proved to be the winning touchdown when he took a kickoff with the game tied, 28-28, and went 99 yards with just 1:13 remaining in WPI's 35-34 triumph over Rochester.

The junior outside linebacker recorded a three-yard tackle-for-loss that was a critical safety and hauled an interception on Union's final drive with 53 seconds remaining. Lamb also chipped in with a nine-yard sack, a pass break-up and a recovered fumble to go along with four total tackles.

WPI sophomore Dereck Pacheco (Barnstable, MA) has added D3football.com Team of the Week, as well as ECAC Division III North Defensive Player of the Week honors, to his collection of weekly awards. The defensive lineman was previously named the Liberty League Football Defensive Performer of the Week and WPI Men's Student-Athlete of the Week.

Dereck Pacheco of Barnstable, Mass., Earns Liberty League Football Defensive Player of the Week Accolades

Pacheco continued his strong start to the season by posting a career-high 11 tackles in WPI's 27-10 victory over Norwich on Saturday afternoon. The sophomore defensive lineman amassed 3 1/2 sacks to increase his Liberty League season-leading total to six, and also blocked a 44-yard field goal attempt to help the Engineers move to 3-0 for the first time since 2009.

Blaine Bursey of Middleburg, Fla., Claims Second Liberty League Special Teams Player of the Week Honor

Bursey connected on field goals of 22 and 29 yards for the Engineers on Saturday The junior also registered touchbacks on all five of his kickoffs and, after an injury to the punter, deposited a pair of fourth quarter pooch punts inside the Norwich 20 yard line.
