Bauer and Day Headline Swimming & Diving Scholar All-America Scrolls

Led by Jack Bauer and Jenny Day, five members of the WPI swimming & diving program secured College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) All-America Team honors for their work in the pool and in the classroom. Additionally, both programs earned the CSCAA Scholar All-America Award for their respective combined GPAs.

Women's Rowing Hauls in Regional and National Academic Awards

Junior Sarah St. Pierre and sophomore Ally Sichler earned the team's NERC All-Scholar award while St. Pierre also headlined a dozen WPI women's rowing student-athletes that repeated as an NIRC All-Academic Team honoree, as announced by USRowing. In all, 16 members of the team were recognized following the May regattas. Of the 16, nine were also lauded by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA).

Pietrowicz, Fox and Senior Quartet Headline Men's Rowing's NIRC and NERC Accolades

Sophomore Brandon Fox claimed the WPI men's rowing NERC All-Scholar award and junior Nathan Pietrowicz was named to the NIRC All-Stewards Team following the May regattas. Additionally, 15 members of the team, including Fox and four three-time honorees, earned NIRC All-Academic Team accolades.

Jack Bauer of Cumberland, R.I., Repeats as Google Cloud Academic All-America Division III At-Large Honoree

WPI junior Jack Bauer was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-America Division III At-Large First Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). He is the first WPI male student-athlete to earn a spot on a first team since Men's Basketball's Matt Carr in 2012.

During the festivities, 11 student-athletes were presented with major awards. These accolades highlight some of the best varsity student-athletes at WPI who excel both in the classroom and in their respective sports.

WPI punctuated it's best season in school history by finishing third in the varsity eight race and as a team at the NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championships at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, FL. The team finish is the highest of any NCAA team sport in school history.

Five Honored as Biney and Murphy-Cook Named to NFCA All-New England First Team

WPI seniors Ama Biney and Nina Murphy-Cook were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-New England first team while three others were also recognized by the region's head coaches. Biney completed the four-year sweep and Murphy-Cook, who missed half of last season, was lauded for the third time in four years. Junior Caraline Wood and freshman Marissa Gonzales picked up second team honors and junior Renee LeClaire represented the Engineers on the third team. The five selections ties the program record set in 2016.

Biney and Gonzales Earn major Honors as Six from Softball Named All-NEWMAC

Senior Ama Biney and freshman Marissa Gonzales earned major awards as the NEWMAC All-Conference accolades were announced Tuesday. Biney was named as the NEWMAC Athlete of the Year while Gonzales was selected as NEWMAC Rookie of the Year. Biney, the program's second athlete of the year selection in three seasons and women's basketball co-athlete of the year this past winter, was joined on the first team by junior Caraline Wood. The second team featured senior Nina Murphy-Cook, Gonzales, senior Kelsey Saucier and junior Renee LeClaire.
