On Wednesday, October 2, 2024 the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Multicultural Education (ODIME) inducted 35 WPI undergraduate students into the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Scholar Program for the 2024-2025 academic year.

On Wednesday, October 4, 2023 the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Multicultural Education (ODIME) inducted fifty-five (55) WPI undergraduate students into the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Scholar Program for the 2023-2024 academic year.

On Wednesday, October 26, 2022 the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Multicultural Education (ODIME) inducted sixteen (16) WPI undergraduate students into the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Scholar Program for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Established in 1986 by the U.S. Congress, the highly competitive scholarship recognizes college sophomores and juniors who show exceptional promise of becoming the nation's next generation of research leaders in the areas of natural sciences, engineering, and mathematics.

Each year, WPI recognizes first-year students for excellence in their academic work with the designation Charles O. Thompson Scholars.

All-New England student-athletes finished in the top eight as an individual or as part of a relay at the NCAA Division III New England Championships and/or NEICAAA Championships.

The scholarship program was established to honor the memory of Boston Area Chapter Past President Joel Goldenberg.

The prestigious scholarship was founded in 1986 in honor of former long-term U.S. Senator Barry Goldwater of Arizona.

Doherty continued her sizzling start to her senior campaign with two goals in each of WPI's two matches this past week. Recent Goldwater Scholars have been awarded 80 Rhodes Scholarships, 117 Marshall Awards, 112 Churchill Scholarships, and numerous other distinguished fellowships such as the National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowships. Since its first award in 1989, the Foundation has bestowed 7,163 scholarships worth approximately 46 million dollars. The Trustees plan to award about three hundred scholarships for the 2015-2016 academic year.
