Kurt Naugler of Westford, Mass., Tabbed CoSIDA Academic All-District I for Third Straight Season

WPI senior Kurt Naugler has been named to the CoSIDA Division III Men's Soccer Academic All-District I team, as selected by Division III sports information directors from Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. It marks the third consecutive year that Naugler has garnered the honor and he is now under consideration for Academic All-America status.

Women's Soccer's Doherty and Larson Lauded as CoSIDA Academic All-District I Selections

WPI women's soccer student-athletes Emily Doherty and Karina Larson have been selected to the Capital One Division III Academic All-District I team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The duo earned first team accolades in District I, which is comprised of Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, and advances to the national ballot for All-America consideration.

Casey Hunt of Granby, Conn., Named to NEWMAC Volleyball All-Conference Second Team

Hunt becomes the fifth different Engineer to be recognized by the NEWMAC or NEW 8 and is the first selection since 2010 WPI Hall of Fame inductee Rachel Zimet (Pytel) '02 secured her second nod in 2000.

Doherty and Gray Repeat as NEWMAC Women's Soccer All-Conference Selections

For the second consecutive season WPI senior Emily Doherty and sophomore Susannah Gray have been recognized as NEWMAC Women's Soccer All-Conference selections, as voted on by the league's head coaches. Doherty once again landed on the first team while Gray repeated as a second team selection.

Riley Doherty of Shrewsbury, Mass., Tabbed NEWMAC Men's Soccer Rookie of the Year

Doherty, a versatile center back and holding midfielder, helped the Engineers rank third in fewest goals allowed (17) and goals against average (0.80), as well as fourth in shutouts (7). Offensively, the local product scored twice in 2015, including the game-winner against Wheaton.

49 Fall Student-Athletes Earn NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Honors

Bolstered by a league-leading 21 cross country selections, 49 WPI student-athletes achieved NEWMAC Academic All-Conference status for the fall season. Men's Cross Country boasted an Engineer-best 13 honorees followed by Women's Soccer with 10 and Field Hockey and Women's Cross Country with eight each. Men's Soccer totaled six student-athletes and Volleyball added four.

Veronica Nikolaki of Athens, Greece Tabbed NEWMAC Women's Diver of the Week (Nov. 3)

Nikolaki picked up her first win of the year with a score of 260.10 on the 1-meter board and was the runner up on the 3-meter with a score of 252.52 as the Crimson and Gray knocked off the Falcons 199-100 to open the 2015-16 campaign.

Domond scored what proved to be the winning touchdown when he took a kickoff with the game tied, 28-28, and went 99 yards with just 1:13 remaining in WPI's 35-34 triumph over Rochester.

Lamb also chipped in with a nine-yard sack, a pass break-up and a recovered fumble to go along with four total tackles.
