Veroniki Nikolaki of Athens, Greece, Tabbed NEWMAC Women's Diver of the Week (Nov. 3)

WPI's Veroniki Nikolaki (Athens, Greece) was selected the NEWMAC Diver of the Week following the Engineers victory over Division II Bentley last Wednesday. It marked the third straight season that the senior has received a weekly honor from the conference.

Nikolaki picked up her first win of the year with a score of 260.10 on the 1-meter board and was the runner up on the 3-meter with a score of 252.52 as the Crimson and Gray knocked off the Falcons 199-100 to open the 2015-16 campaign.

It addition to Nikolaki, Emily Medeiros (Wakefield, MA) of Springfield and Cathleen Pruden (Raleigh, NC) of Mount Holyoke were honored Monday by the conference. The duo were named Co-Swimmers of the Week as the league handed out its first weekly awards of the season.

Nikolaki and her WPI teammates have a busy weekend ahead, hosting the New England Invitational on Saturday and entertaining Babson, Brandeis and Smith on Sunday. Both events are scheduled for a 1pm start.
