Tim Petri of Bruzaholm, Sweden, Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

Tim Petri was named a CSCAA Scholar All-American.

Five members of the WPI swimming and diving team were named College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-Americans while each gender earned CSCAA Scholar All-America team status.

Veronica Nikolaki earned her third Scholar All-America nod while Jenny Day was tabbed as an honorable mention.Nathan Hughes also collected his third accolade as Andrew Bauer picked up his second. Tim Petri, meanwhile, was named an honorable mention for the second consecutive year.

As a team, the men were third among NEWMAC squads, and tied for 31st out of 162, with a 3.34 GPA, up from 3.21 in 2015. The women collaborated to hand in a 3.42 to place in the top half of the list and improve upon their 3.29 from a year ago.

To be selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, swimmers and divers must have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable Mention selections have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at their respective diving qualifying meets.

To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the Spring semester.
