Sydney Packard of Georgetown, Mass., Earns All-America and top New England Finish at NCAA Championships

WPI Freshman Sydney Packard earned All-America status in the 800-meter run Saturday at the NCAA Division III Track & field Championships, hosted by Mount Union at the SPIRE Institute.

Packard's seventh-place time of 2:11.05 was also the top New England performance. It is the second consecutive outdoor meet the Engineers have boasted an All-America and it is the program's 10th overall for head coach Brian Chabot. Ohio Northern's Emily Richards repeated as national champion.
