Randy Melanson of Attleboro, Mass., Claims Fifth Career NEWMAC Men's Diver of the Week Accolade

WPI senior Randy Melanson has been honored as the NEWMAC Men's Diver of the Week for the week ending November 12th. It is Melanson's first weekly award of the season and fifth of his career.

Melanson rebounded Sunday with the winning score of 276.67 on the 1-meter board and a second-place 269.85 on the 3-meter board at Coast Guard. His 1-meter sum represented his first NCAA regional qualifying score of the season. Less than 24 hours earlier, he only needed 241.81 to claim the 3-meter and was the runner up on the 1-meter at Division II Southern Connecticut State University.
