Paul Esteve of Colchester, CT, Takes Home ECAC Men's Rowing Honors

2015 Jun 15

Paul Esteve earned recognition from the ECAC National Invitational Rowing Championship (NIRC) Stewards. Sophomore Michael Beinor and seniors Matt Deptula and Joe Sperry headlined awards for WPI Men's Rowing announced late last week.

All three drew all-academic team accolades, the third in a row for Deptula and Sperry, while Beinor garnered All-ECAC rowing honors as well for the Crimson and Gray.

Nick Cebry, Kendell Cotton, Paul Esteve, Matthew Ryder and Chris Sample claimed the recognition for the second consecutive season. First time honorees included Beinor, Scott Cazier, Paul Danielson and John Lomi.

To receive All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution.

A total of 39 men's and women's student-athletes were chosen from 24 institutions as All-ECAC. Coaches from each member institution selected a deserving member from their respective crews to be honored.
