Nate Peterson of Mashpee, Mass., Selected NEWMAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

WPI sophomore back Nate Peterson garnered NEWMAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors for the week ending Sunday, October 12th.

Peterson was the hero in WPI's 2-1 come-from-behind conference victory over Springfield on Saturday. The sophomore back knocked home a rebound following a free kick that had drilled off the post in the 78th minute to help the Engineers post their third NEWMAC win in four contests. The center back has been a big part of a WPI defensive effort that has yield just four goals in 11 games this season.
