Madison Beck of Syracuse, N.Y., Selected as WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week (Feb. 5)

Madison Beck from the basketball team has been selected as the WPI Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 4th.

Beck led all scorers with 18 points, on 7-of-12 shooting (58.3 percent), and added a key steal in the waning seconds as WPI collected a hard-earned 61-54 victory Saturday over visiting MIT. As a team, the Engineers secured season splits with three of the four other NEWMAC teams that are above .500 in league play and represent the top five in the standings. WPI has a chance to earn season split with league-leading Babson on Wednesday.
