Lea Strangio of Watertown, Mass., Selected as WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week

The top 7 of the nationally-ranked cross country team, including Lea Strangio, has been selected as the WPI Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 29th.

Sophomores Sydney Packard and Ariana Rozen, and seniors Emily Newman and Lea Strangio, each earned All-NEWMAC accolades and teamed with freshman Keely Nistler, sophomore Callie Schadt and junior Carly Neeld to set the program records for team finish (second), lowest point total (62) and number of All-Conference honorees at Sunday's NEWMAC Championships.

The 31st-ranked Division III team turns its attention to the NCAA New England Regional on November 11 at Southern Maine.
