Lea Strangio of Watertown, Mass., Selected as WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week

Lea Strangio of the track & field team has been selected as the WPI Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January, 15th.

Strangio captured the 800-meter run (2:26.15) and anchored the winning 4x800-meter relay (9:55.26), which included Maggie LaRoche, Emily Newman and Sydney Packard, at the Bowdoin Invitational. As of late Saturday night, the individual time is currently No. 33 on the NCAA performance list and the relay is No. 10 on the All-New England All-Division (NEICAAA) performance list.
