Kristen McCrea of Weymouth, Mass., Earns Spot on WPI Women's Soccer Roster

Fifth-year head coach Steph Schafer has revealed the 2017 Women's Soccer roster which inlcudes Kristen McCrea.

The Engineers, who are predicted to repeat as NEWMAC Champions by the conference head coaches, begin their campaign Friday at Salem State and return home for an evening meeting with UMass Dartmouth on Sunday.

WPI (16-2-3) is coming off a banner year that featured the program-record for wins in a season, the NEWMAC regular-season and tournament titles and the program's first NCAA Tournament berth.

Other firsts included hosting a NEWMAC playoff game, winning a NEWMAC playoff game and hosting the NEWMAC Championship weekend. Schafer and assistants Danielle Parenteau and Maddie (Willer) DeClerck '14 were collectively named the NSCAA Division III New England Women's Soccer Coaching Staff of the Year.
