Kelsey Saucier of Worcester, Mass., One of Four Softball Pitchers Named WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week

Kelsey Saucier was one of four pitchers from the softball team have been honored as the WPI Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 8th.

The staff combined to strike out 22 to sweep Salve Regina, 6-1, and Penn State Behrend, 3-0, to start the 2015 campaign on Sunday at the NTC Spring Games. It is the first season-opening sweep for the Crimson and Gray since 2010. Caroline Medino and Kelsey Saucier combined for 11 strikeouts in the eye-opener while Clare Doolin punched out 11 in the nightcap. Casey Arpin registered her first collegiate save in the shutout.
