Jennifer Day of Chelmsford, Mass., Member of Relay Team Named WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week

Jennifer Day is a member of the women's swimming & diving 800-yard freestyle relay team which has been tabbed as the WPI Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 19th.

The foursome of junior Jennifer Day, senior Eva Childers, junior Emily Matsco and senior Emily Martin began the NEWMAC championships with a runner up, and All-NEWMAC second team, finish in the record-breaking relay for the third time in two years. Martin went on to help the 400-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay set records as did Childers and Day in the 400 free relay. The efforts helped the entire team set the program-record for most points scored and a program-best second place finish at the NEWMAC Swimming & Diving Championships.
