James Loring of Norton, Mass., Member of NCAA-Bound Men's Basketball Team

James Loring is a member of the WPI men's basketball team that has earned an at-large berth to the NCAA Division III Championship tournament which begins later this week.

The Engineers will face Cortland at 7:30pm in the first round at Amherst College for Friday. The hosts play Husson in the other match-up of Friday's doubleheader with the two winners set to meet in the second round on Saturday evening at 7pm.

Ticket prices will be announced later Monday or early Tuesday.

It will mark the fourth straight and 10th appearance overall in the last 12 years for the Engineers. WPI is 20-6 on the season and ranked 24th in the most recent D3hoops.com Top 25. The Engineers finished second in the competitive NEWMAC, before falling to MIT Saturday in the conference tournament semifinals.

The 2016 tournament will mark the 11th time WPI has reached the NCAAs, with 10 coming under the tutelage of 15 year head coach Chris Bartley.
