Jacob Mercier of Litchfield, N.H., Named NEWMAC Men's Track and Field Weekly Award Winner

Jacob Mercier earned recognition from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference for the week ending April 3.

Senior Jason Beauregard and the WPI 4x100-meter relay team took home NEWMAC track & field weekly honors for their performance this past weekend at the Coast Guard Spring Invitational.

Beauregard set a pair of PRs with a 169-4 (51.62m) in the hammer throw and a 135-0 (41.16m) in the discus. As of Monday, the senior's hammer distance is No. 17 on the NCAA Division III Outdoor Qualifying List.

Freshman Antoine Harris, sophomore Paul-Henry Schoenhagen, junior Brian D'Amore and senior Jacob Mercier teamed up to win the 4x100-meter relay in a time of 43.20.
