Isabella Garver of Owls Head, Maine, Named to Inaugural NEWMAC All-Sportsmanship Team

Isabella Garver is one of six WPI student-athletes were named to their sports inaugural NEWMAC All-Sportsmanship Team, as announced as part of the league's revamped postseason award program.

New to the conference this year, the NEWMAC has established an All-Sportsmanship Team for the 2016-17 Academic Year. The award is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each team, in every sport that best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of his/her overall performance or statistics for the season.

Men's cross country was represented by senior Daniel Mortimer while junior Gina Capobianco was tabbed to represent the women's cross country team. Junior Izzy Garver earned the nod for field hockey as senior Brianna Parent was chosen for volleyball. Junior Jordan Finzel and senior Lindsay Schnieider took home the award for men's and women's soccer, respectively.
