Hugh Whelan earned All-NEWMAC accolades for their performance(s) this past weekend at the conference championshiips hosted by MIT.

The following won their event and earned a spot on the first team

  • Fabian Gazaiano - 110-meter hurdles - 15.37
  • Jasmine Higuera Castillo - 10,000-meter run - 40:11.00
  • Warren Staver - 400-meter dash - 49.15
  • Lea Strangio - 800-meter run - 2:14.14
  • Katie Nugent, Kimberlee Kocienski, Lea Strangio, Sydney Packard - 4x400-meter relay - 3:58.47

The following were second in their event and secured second team laurels

  • Michael Brady - 5,000-meter run - 15:34.36
  • David Frederick - pole vault - 14-11 (4.55m)
  • Brandon Hoghaug - high jump - 6-4 (1.93m)
  • Julie Tevenan - 3,000-meter steeplechase - 11:32.15
  • Patrick Wang - hammer throw - 152-3 (46.41m)
  • Aaron Weeks - javelin - 179-7 (54.73m)
  • Hugh Whelan, Alex Rus, Nick Fleury, Brian D'Amore - 4x100-meter relay - 43.02
  • Andrew Kelly, Alex Rus, Ryan Wittenberg, Warren Staver - 4x400-meter relay - 3:22.96

Track & Field is back in action with select members competing in the Division III New England Championships at Williams on Friday and Saturday.
