Emily Martin of Penfield, N.Y., Tabbed as WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week

Emily Martin of the swimming & diving team has been tabbed as the WPI Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 22nd.

Martin won three individual events and helped three winning relays in a 3-0 week for WPI. On Wednesday Martin had individual success in the 100- and 200-yard freestyles with times of 55.70 and 1:59.93, and anchored the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:42.89) in the Engineers sweep of Wheaton and UMass Dartmouth. In a team triumph at Hartwick, Martin claimed the 50-yard freestyle (25.72) and contributed to the success of the 400-yard freestyle (3:46.93) and 200-yard medley (1:54.03) relays.

The Engineers host Clark for the final dual of the season Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
