2016 Dec 17

Emily Martin is one of nine WPI swimming & diving student-athletes to have been recognized by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference for their performances the week ending December 11.

Senior Tim Petri and both the men's and women's 400-yard relay teams drew distinction from the NEWMAC on Monday. Petri took home the Men's Swimmer of the Week award while each quartet was tabbed as their respective Relay of the Week.

Petri won three events, broke two of his own records and bettered a B cut as No. 25 WPI defeated host Wesleyan and No. 18 Tufts, and fell to No. 9 Williams this past Saturday. Petri began by cutting .26 off his 50-yard breaststroke record with a 26.07. He then led a trio of Engineers to a 1-2-3 finish and broke his own record in the 100 with a B cut time of 56.49.
