2014 Sep 25

Emily Doherty of the women's soccer team has been selected as the WPI Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, September 21st.

Doherty netted a goal in each half to help the Crimson and Gray defeat Framingham State 3-1 in a non-conference soccer match-up on Tuesday evening. The junior began her scoring binge by converting a first half penalty kick after she was taken down in the box. Doherty, who shares the NEWMAC lead with seven goals, added a key insurance marker in the second half.
