Elizabeth Pellegrini of Worcester, Mass., Qualifies for 4x100 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship Final

Elizabeth Pellegrini is a member of the WPI women's track and field team that will compete in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship Final on Saturday.

The 4x100 quartet of Alex Price, Liz Pellegrini, Maya Rhinehart and Sara Velleca placed fifth in their heat, and eighth overall, with a school-record time of 47.24. Just over an hour later Pellegrini clocked a 1:02.58 to place 12th in the 400-meter hurdles.

Pellegrini will be the lone competitor on Friday when she takes to the track for the first heat of the 100-meter hurdles prelims at 5:15 p.m.
