Elizabeth Pellegrini of Worcester, Mass., Named WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week

Elizabeth Pellegrini of the track and field team has been selected as the WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 19th.

Pellegrini went from 62nd to 16th nationally in the 400-meter hurdles with a winning time of 1:03.41 at the Eric Loeschner Memorial Meet title hosted by Fitchburg State on Saturday. The junior was also part of the winning 4x100-meter relay that posted the 24th best time in Division III this season with a time of 48.48. She also placed second in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 15.47.
