Elizabeth Pellegrini of Worcester, Mass., Honored as WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week

Elizabeth Pellegrini from the track and field team has been honored as the WPI Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 17th.

Pellegrini won both hurdle events Saturday in a meet featuring three other NEWMAC squads, Coast Guard, Mount Holyoke and host Springfield. Her 400-meter hurdle time of 1:02.93 ranks No. 7 nationally as of Sunday afternoon while the senior's 15-flat in the 100-meter hurdles sits 27th. Within the conference, Pellegrini tops the 100H list and is second in the 400H.
