Dereck Pacheco of Hyannis, Mass., Earns Spot on WPI Football Team

Eighth-year WPI head coach Chris Robertson has revealed the 2017 Football roster which includes Dereck Pacheco.

Fresh off back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in nearly 25 seasons, the Engineers begin conference play in the NEWMAC, continuing league rivalries with Springfield and Merchant Martime, renewing league ties with Coast Guard and Norwich and forging new gridiron matchups with MIT, Maine Maritime and Catholic.

WPI, who was picked third in the inaugural coaches poll, hosts Anna Maria Friday night and heads to Springfield to begin it's first NEWMAC slate, following several years in the Liberty League, on September 23.
