Christopher Rodgers of Franklin, Mass., Tabbed WACBA Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week

2015 Mar 4

WPI freshman Christopher Rodgers has been selected as the Worcester Area College Basketball Association Men's Rookie of the Week.

Rodgers was easily WPI's most dynamic player in the Engineers' NEWMAC Tournament semifinal tilt against Springfield. The rookie came off the bench and tallied 11 of his 12 points in the second half. Rodgers, who missed his career-high in points by one, also had two of the Crimson and Gray's four steals on the day.

No. 18 WPI (21-5) heads to St. John Fisher for an NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship first round contest on Friday for a 7:30pm tip.
