Casey Hunt of Granby, Conn., Named WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week

Casey Hunt from the volleyball team has been honored as the WPI Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, September 13th.

Hunt averaged a double-double as WPI went 3-0 last week en route to improving to 5-1 on the season. The rookie outside hitter began the week by totaling career-bests of 15 kills and 19 digs in a 3-0 road win at Lasell and then amassed 12 kills and 11 digs and 11 kills and three digs in a tri-meet sweep of Mount Ida and Wentworth. For the week Hunt hit at a .278 clip (38 kills and 11 errors in 97 attempts) while averaging 12.7 kills and 11 digs.
