Carolina Leguizamon of La Paz, Bolivia, Member of Rowing Third Varsity Eight Named WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week

Carolina Leguizamon helped the Third Varsity Eight win at the NEWMAC Rowing Championships and earn WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week honors.

The boat made up of Alexa Hiznay, Emily Perkins, Jasmine Loukola, Carolina Leguizamon, Sarah Wutka, Abigail Sawyer, Rachel Santarsiero, Huda Gad and coxswain Robyn Quartararo captured its race at the NEWMAC championship for the third straight year.

The Engineers won the race in a back-and-forth battle with Wellesley by just six tenths of a second.
