Brittney Lambert of Hudson, N.H., Lauded as NEWMAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week

WPI senior Brittney Lambert was selected as the NEWMAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week. It is the dual sport student-athlete's third track & field weekly honor in four years.

Lambert, who was also tabbed as the WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week, won her first high jump competition of the season and ended the weekend atop the NEWMAC performance list with a clearance of 5-2.5. It is the senior's ninth career win and third in as many trips to the Amherst Spring Fling. The victory also helped the Engineers take the team crown for the third consecutive season.

WPI travels to Conn. College Friday for the Elite Distance event and Saturday for the rest of the Silfen Invitational.
