Brian Murtagh of Wayland, Mass., tabbed as the WPI Male Student-Athlete of the Week

Brian Murtagh of the football team has been tabbed as the WPI Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 2nd.

Murtagh tied his season-high of 15 tackles (14 solo), including a season-best four for-loss to help the Engineers mount a successful 21-14 comeback Saturday versus Union. Through five weeks, Murtagh leads the league in tackles (68), solo tackles (42) and assisted tackles (26), in addition to sharing the top spot with teammate Luca Cerasani with nine tackles for-loss and eight solo.
