Blaine Bursey of Middleburg, Fla., Earns Spot on D3football.com Team of the Week

Senior Blaine Bursey was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week. The kicker was previously named a repeat Liberty League Special Teams Performer of the Week. He becomes the first honoree since teammate Jason Lamb was tabbed last October.

Bursey accounted for 10 of the Engineers 41 points Friday night against Worcester State. He converted all four PATs and was successful from 35 and 36 yards in the second half. Bursey also averaged 60.8 yards per kickoff for a total of 486 yards and one touchback.

WPI (2-0) closes out non-conference play Saturday with a trip to Norwich. Kickoff is slated for 2pm.
