Austin Scott of Waddington, N.Y., Tabbed NEWMAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

WPI Cross Country's Austin Scott was tabbed the NEWMAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Scott captured the individual title at the Plansky Invitational hosted by Williams on Saturday. The sophomore covered the 5K course with a time of 16:48, edging out nearly 70 other college runners en route to winning his first career title. Scott's performance also helped the Engineers claim the team title.
