Austin Scott of Waddington, N.Y., Part of ECAC Championship and School-Record Setting Relay Named WPI Men's Student-Athlete of the Week

Austin Scott was a key member of the distance medley relay of the track and field team has been selected as the WPI Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 8th.

The men's DMR ran to an ECAC Division III championship in a school-record time at The Armory in New York City. Andrew Zayac, Joey Collins, Austin Scott and Lucas Roy teamed-up to clock a 10:05.12 to reset the school record and win the event with splits of 3:03.9, 49.6, 1:54.9 and 4:15.8 respectively. The quartet's efforts helped the Engineers finish in a tie for sixth overall out of 56 scoring teams.
