Andrew and Jack Bauer of Cumberland, R.I., Named WPI Men's Student-Athletes of the Week

The Bauer brothers from the swimming and diving team have been named as the WPI Male Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 10th.

Andrew and Jack Bauer combined to win four individual events on Saturday as the host Engineers knocked off Roger Williams and Bridgewater State. Andrew, a junior, swept the 50- and 100-yard freestyle with a 22.00 and 48.96 while Jack, a freshman, notched the best time in the 100-yard backstroke (52.53 ) and the 200-yard IM (2:00.36).

Men's Swimming and Diving closes out its home slate next weekend with the Worcester City Championships against Clark and Division I Holy Cross.
