Andrew Bauer of Cumberland, R.I., Tabbed as WPI Men's Student-Athlete of the Week

Andrew Bauer of the swimming and diving team has been tabbed as the WPI Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, February 21st.

Bauer claimed a pair of individual titles en route to being named Swimmer of the Year at this weekend's NEWMAC championships. The junior repeated as the 200 freestyle champion on Saturday and handed in a meet and program record of 1:38.92 and then struck gold Sunday in the 100 freestyle in a time of 45.41. Bauer was also part of a pair of winning relays - the 200 freestyle (1:24.51) and 200 medley (1:38.92) and finished second and earned All-NEWMAC status in the 50 freestyle (20.91).
