Andrew Bauer was a member of the swimming and diving 800-yard freestyle relay that earned WPI Men's Student-Athlete of the Week laurels for the week ending Sunday, March 20.

Senior Alex Powers, sophomore David Smallwood, senior Nathan Hughes, and junior Andrew Bauer collaborated to post a school record time of 6:41.24 en route to All-American seventh-place showing at the NCAA Championships in Greensboro, NC. The foursome also earned honorable mention All-America accolades in the 400-yard freestyle relay (13th place - 3:01.84) while Bauer took home a pair of individual honorable mention All-America honors in the 100-yard (9th place - 44.67) and 200-yard (Tied for 9th - 1:38.59) freestyles.
