Andrew Bauer of Cumberland, R.I., Helps 400-Yard Medley Relay Claim NEWMAC Men's Swimming & Diving Relay Team of the Week Accolades

Andrew Bauer helped WPI's 400-yard medley relay team claim NEWMAC Men's Swimming & Diving Men's Relay Team of the Week honors, as announced on Monday. The same foursome was honored by the conference for their 200-yard medley relay effort two weeks ago.

Junior Alex Powers, sophomore Tim Petri, freshman David Smallwood and sophomore Andrew Bauer helped the Engineers get off to a great start in their double dual with Coast Guard and Division I Providence as they won the race with by nearly six seconds in a time of 3:31.53, which is currently ranked eighth in Division III.

The Crimson and Gray went on to sweep the meet and claim it's first-ever win over the Bears in program history (since 1926).

WPI (6-0), ranked 19th in this week's CollegeSwimming.com Rankings, hits the road for a 1:00 p.m., meet at Roger Williams on Saturday.
