Ama Biney of Worcester, Massachusetts, Selected as WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week

Ama Biney from the basketball team has been selected as the WPI Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 26th.

As Biney became the 18th WPI women's basketball player to reach the 1,000-point milestone on Saturday, the local product tallied her third career double double with 19 points and 10 rebounds, to go with two blocks and a swipe as the Engineers defeated Bates 60-42. On Tuesday, Biney scored a game-best 22 points for the second consecutive game against Central Mass. opponents as WPI defeated Nichols, 60-33. She also racked up nine boards, six steals and four assists.
