Ama Biney of Worcester, Massachusetts, Collects Women's Basketball Weekly Honors for Week Ending December 31

WPI senior Ama Biney has been honored by NEWMAC, NEWBA and WACBA for the week ending December 31, as announced by the organizations. Biney was tabbed as the NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Week and was named to the NEWBA Honor Roll. She was then selected as the WACBA Women's Co-Player of the Week.

The local product boasted three double-doubles and averaged 14.8 points and 10 rebounds, 3.25 assists and 3.25 steals over four games. The senior scored 12 and swiped the ball seven times versus Wells. She then scored 17 and notched a career-high 14 rebounds against SUNY New Paltz after logging 17 and 10 versus Spalding nine days earlier. Biney ended the year with 13 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and a steal against Ramapo.
