Ama Biney of Worcester, Mass., Tabbed NEWBA and WACBA Rookie of the Week

WPI freshman guard Ama Biney has once again hauled in New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) and Worcester Area College Basketball Association (WACBA) Rookie of the Week honors.

Biney drained 9-of-15 shots from field as the Crimson and Gray went 1-1 last week in conference play. The freshman posted identical totals of 13 points and six rebounds in both contests (at Clark and vs. Smith) while totaling four assists and two steals for the 14-7 Engineers.

She shares the WACBA award with former Holy Name teammate, and Worcester State guard, Nani Perez.
