Ama Biney of Worcester, Mass., Selected as WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week

Ama Biney of the basketball team has been selected as the WPI Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 3rd.

Biney averaged 14.3 points per game to help the Engineers continue their best start in program history with three victories over the holiday break. The sophomore guard helped the Engineers sweep their two contests in Florida by notching a career-high 21 points, to go along with a game-best six rebounds and three assists in the second game of the tournament, a 67-51 victory over Alvernia. Biney continued her strong play by leading all players with 17 points as WPI opened 2016 with a 59-46 road victory at Simmons.
