Ama Biney of Worcester, Mass., Named @WACBAHoops Women's Basketball Player of the Week (Jan. 17)

WPI sophomore Ama Biney has been tabbed the Worcester Area College Basketball Association (WACBA) Women's Player of the Week. It is the third consecutive honor for the local product.

Biney averaged 14 points and six rebounds as the Engineers pushed their winning streak to 14 games with conference victories over Smith and Coast Guard last week. The sophomore posted team-highs of 14 points in both contests, while finishing a rebound short of a double-double in the road victory at Coast Guard. Biney also chipped in with four steals and a pair of assists on the week.
