Aaron Todd is a member of the WPI men's basketball team which has been slotted third in the NEWMAC preseason coaches poll.

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) revealed the annual Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches' Poll on Thursday afternoon. After an impressive 2015-16 season claiming the programs second consecutive NEWMAC crown and pushing to the NCAA Sectional Semifinals last winter, Babson has been tabbed the preseason favorites with seven first place votes.

Taking the No 2 slot is last seasons Runner Up, MIT while No. 3 goes to WPI. Rounding out the remaining slots is No. 4 Springfield, No. 5 Emerson, No. 6 Coast Guard, No. 7 Wheaton and No. 8 Clark.

The Engineers host Eastern Connecticut Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the season opener for both squads.
