of , Earns NEWMAC Track and Field All-Conference Honors

was one of 15 WPI outdoor track and field student-athletes to earn NEWMAC All-Conference honors for finishing in the top two at the annual meet held on Saturday. Event winners are named to the first team while the runners up earn second team honors.

Liz Pellegrini won the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 14.91 while Sara Velleca clocked a 25.22 to capture the 200-meter dash and Laura Pumphrey cleared 5-4.25 to claim the high jump title. Andrew Zayac was the lone men's winner with a time of 9:32.86 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

Caitlin Walde was second in the 10,000-meter run (39:24.90) as the 4x400-meter relay team comprised of Velleca, Maya Rhinehart, Pellegrini and Lea Strangio earned sliver with a time of 3:59.74. Strangio also set the program record in the 800-meter run with a third-place time of 2:18.50.

Both men's relays came in second as the 4x100-meter relay team of Brian D'Amore, Austin Holliday, Jacob Mercier and Hugh Whelan clocked a 42.58 and the 4x400-meter relay foursome of Thomas Kostelak, Ryan Dennis, Warren Staver and Joey Collins posted a 3:19.94.

Individually, Staver was the runner up in the 400-meter dash in a time of 49.25 as was Holliday in the 200-meter dash (22.47).
